About St Oswald's Hospice Shop

The St Oswald's Hospice shop on Bedford Street is one of the charity's high street shops, selling quality pre-loved goods donated by local people, including clothing, accessories, books, homeware and collectables. Like the charity's other branches it relies heavily on volunteers, and the charity notes that some shops occasionally shorten their hours when volunteers are short, so it is worth a call before taking in a large donation.

All proceeds support St Oswald's Hospice in Gosforth, which provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care for adults, young people and children across the North East. Each January the hospice also runs its Christmas Tree-cycle, collecting real trees from homes across NE23 to NE30, North Shields included, for a suggested donation.
