About 7th Tynemouth Scout Group

7th Tynemouth Scout Group is based at North Shields Methodist Church on Hawkeys Lane and is part of the Tynemouth District, which covers North Shields and the wider North Tyneside area. The group runs the full range of younger sections, giving 4 to 14 year olds a place to belong: Squirrels for ages 4 to 6, Beavers for ages 6 to 8, Cubs for ages 8 to 10 and a half, and Scouts for ages 10 and a half to 14.

Like all Scout groups it is run by volunteers, and its weekly meetings during term time are backed up by camps, days out and community activities across the year. Places in the younger sections are popular, so families are encouraged to register early through the group or the national Scouts join page rather than waiting until a child is exactly the right age.
