About Kumon North Shields Study Centre
Kumon North Shields is the town's Kumon maths and English study centre, meeting at the Linskill Centre on Linskill Terrace and run by instructor Faiqa Ali. Sessions run on Monday afternoons and Saturday mornings, with students typically spending around half an hour per subject in the centre and then completing short daily worksheets at home.
Each child starts with an assessment that sets a personal starting point based on ability rather than school year, then progresses in small, steady steps. The programme suits children from early learners through to secondary age who benefit from routine practice, and it is a good way to build confidence and independent study habits alongside school.
