About Yamaha Music School North Shields
Yamaha Music School North Shields opened at 2 Russell Street in January 2025, a sister site to the Yamaha Music School in Blyth. It teaches piano and keyboard, guitar, drums and percussion, woodwind and brass, music theory and music production, with lessons available one-to-one, in small groups or as part of a band.
Alongside lessons the school runs ensembles and performance opportunities, including the North Shields Guitar Orchestra, the North Shields Folk Orchestra and end-of-term student concerts. Staff are often teaching, so the school asks enquirers to text or WhatsApp rather than call.
