Kristian Fish Co sits right on Union Quay, in the thick of the North Shields Fish Quay, which gives it about the shortest supply chain a chippy could ask for: much of its fish is landed and traded within sight of the fryers. It runs as both a sit-in restaurant and a takeaway, so you can eat looking out over the river or carry your parcel down to the water.
