The Uncommon
Small-plates and natural-wine bar near the Fish Quay, with cocktails, DJs and Sunday roasts.
About The Uncommon
The Uncommon occupies Harbour House on Little Bedford Street, between the town centre and the Fish Quay, and deals in small plates and natural wine. It is part of the newer, more design-led wave of North Shields openings, with a menu built for sharing and a carefully chosen drinks list.
As well as food and wine it runs cocktails, DJ nights and Sunday roasts, so it shifts easily from a relaxed dinner to a livelier evening. It reflects the way the area has drawn independent operators keen to make the most of the Quay's revival.
