About The Waterfront
The Waterfront has been a family-run fixture on Union Road, just up from the Fish Quay, since 1995. It offers both a sit-in restaurant and a busy takeaway and delivery service, and has built its reputation the old-fashioned way, on fresh fish, generous portions and consistency over three decades.
Fish is fried to order in traditional beef dripping, with alternatives available, in light crisp batter with hand-cut chips. Regulars praise the friendly service and the value, and on a fine day you can take your supper across the road to the benches for a view towards the sea. It is one of the town's most dependable chippies.
