About Tynemouth Swimming Pool
Tynemouth Swimming Pool, despite the name, sits on Beach Road in North Shields and is run by North Tyneside Council. It has a main 25-metre pool and a separate learner pool, with public swimming sessions, lane swimming and a full Learn to Swim programme for children and adults.
Swimming lessons run through the week and are a mainstay of children's after-school and weekend activity locally. It is a well-used community facility close to the town centre.
