About North Shields Community Hub and Library
North Shields Community Hub and Library sits on Northumberland Square in the town centre and combines the town's public library with council customer services. Alongside books and activities, it offers free PCs and WiFi, printing and photocopying, and rooms for hire that can be booked through the council's facilities booking site.
The hub is also home to the North East's first BIPC Local, a Business and Intellectual Property Centre giving free access to market-research resources and information on patents, trademarks and designs. It is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm, making it a useful free base for study, job-seeking and remote work.
